Germany - ITKAM - Italienische Handelskammer für Deutschland
The Italian Chamber of Commerce for Germany (ITKAM) is a German registered non-profit bilateral association, founded 1911. It’s core business is the promotion of economic relations between Italy and Germany. ITKAM counts over 400 member companies and provides around 500 Italian and German companies with business support every year. In additon, ITKAM is and has been active in a plethora of European projects. Here, digitalisation and sustainability are key principles. ITKAM’s thematic expertise lies particularly with entrepreneurial support, learning mobilities, and training.
ITKAM’s role in the project is pivotal for ensuring maturity and real-world validation of the CRA compliance tools. Their extensive network will be leveraged during the crucial design and architecture stages, as well
as in the validation of these tools within the pilot phase. With ITKAM’s broad reach, including hundreds of members and connections, the project gains access to a diverse pool of MSMEs across Europe, enabling thorough testing and refinement of the solutions to meet the specific needs of this varied group.
Germany - Fraunhofer Gesellschaft
The Fraunhofer Institute for Applied and Integrated Security AISEC translates excellence in IT security research into applied solutions for greater dependability, trustworthiness and tamper protection in IT-based systems and products. We create innovative and customized cybersecurity solutions to accurately assess the security of systems and products, design them securely and operate them reliably throughout their entire life cycle. With our internationally recognized cutting-edge research into cybersecurity, we improve the integrated security of embedded systems, hardware components, operating systems, applications and cloud-based services.
AISEC’s proven track record in developing compliance engineering solutions and assessment tools such as Clouditor significantly contributes to the maturity and credibility of the project. Their technical expertise and experience in the cybersecurity field will be leveraged to refine Clouditor’s capabilities, ensuring it meets the specific needs of CRA compliance assessment. This will include enhancing the tool’s architecture, developing new methods for evidence collection, automating conformity decisions, thus providing a sophisticated and reliable solution.
Belgium - CYEN
Cyen is an award-winning highly specialised and effective Belgian cybersecurity risk and compliance company that supports critical infrastructure and supply chain SMEs. Besides quality audit and advisory services, Cyen offers its own proprietary expertware (AIBC) and supports free tools (Confirmate) to support businesses manage effectively and efficiently their cybersecurity risk and compliance posture.
CYEN’s role in the project is central to ensuring regulatory precision and practical applicability of the CRA compliance solutions. With deep expertise in EU cybersecurity legislation and hands-on experience supporting SMEs, CYEN will lead the alignment of the tools with current and upcoming regulatory frameworks such as NIS2 and the Cyber Resilience Act. Their involvement spans the development, implementation, and evaluation phases, ensuring that the solutions are both technically robust and policy-compliant. CYEN’s active participation in European research networks and close collaboration with public and private stakeholders will be instrumental in piloting the tools with real-world users, particularly SMEs in highly regulated sectors. This approach ensures practical relevance and supports wide-scale adoption.
Romania - Directoratul Național de Securitate Cibernetică (DNSC)
DNSC is the competent authority at the national level for the national civilian cyberspace, including the management of risks and cyber incidents. It is tasked with ensuring the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability and resilience of the national civilian cyberspace and with defining and implementing the framework of strategies, policies, and regulations that support the implementation of the national vision in the field of cyber security.
DNSC leads the critical testing and refinement phase of the project, drawing on its strong cybersecurity expertise to ensure that the developed solutions meet both rigorous security standards and the practical requirements of industry stakeholders. This phase is essential for validating the functionality, usability, and effectiveness of the tools in real-world operational environments. In addition to its technical role, DNSC actively contributes to the project’s communication, dissemination, and exploitation efforts. Through its well-established network across European public and private sectors, DNSC promotes awareness, facilitates stakeholder engagement, and supports the development and delivery of training modules and guidance materials. These efforts aim to drive widespread adoption, ensure long-term sustainability, and maximise the overall societal impact of the project’s outcomes.
